Archives du mot-clé incursion

Ed Miliband in Washington : Her Majesty’s Opposition « oppose the Israeli incursion into Gaza » .

Ed Miliband hasn’t had much to say about Israel’s bombardment, and ground invasion, of Gaza and the mounting civilian death toll inside the strip – until, that is, yesterday.

On a trip to Washington DC to try and see Barack Obama, the Labour leader sat down with the HuffPost’s Washington DC bureau chief Ryan Grim and told him that Her Majesty’s Opposition « oppose the Israeli incursion into Gaza ».

Ryan writes:

« Miliband said the incursion into Gaza is likely to help Hamas’ recruiting efforts, and undermines Israel in the eyes of the international community. « I don’t think it will help win Israel friends, » he said. ‘I don’t think this will make the situation better. I fear it will make it worse… As a party we oppose the further escalation of violence we have seen with Israel’s invasion of Gaza,’ he said. ‘I defend Israel’s right to defend itself against rocket attacks. But I cannot explain, justify or defend the horrifying deaths of hundreds of Palestinians, including children and innocent civilians.' »

Strong stuff from the Labour leader – his anti-Zionist mother, Marion Kozak, a Holocaust survivor, must be proud of him.

Whether the Israelis will give a damn is another matter. David Cameron has reiterated his « staunch support » for the Jewish state and has had little to say about the X Palestinian dead – « grave concern » is the phrase I think he belatedly and half-heartedly deployed yesterday. Barack Obama, meanwhile, continues to declaim « Israel’s right to defend itself » from rockets – but without Miliband’s qualifier about Palestinian dead.

Miliband, incidentally, was in DC to get a « brush by » meeting with the Leader of the World, as craved by every British leader of the opposition and he got a 25-minute sitdown with Obama and his national security adviser Susan Rice. They talked Ukraine, Gaza, Scotland, climate change and the future of the EU, among other issues. Check out the official photo that was released (below) – the Labour spin team won’t be too pleased with that rather large table placed between their man and the prez.

The Times reports:

« Mr Miliband also arrived with a House of Commons plastic bag containing his gifts for the president. A Labour spokesman said the bag contained three DVDs — the original versions of House of Cards, State of Play and The State Within. “Given the number of US political dramas on our screen, we thought we would showcase a few British-made examples,” said the spokesman, who stressed that all of the DVDs were in a US compatible format. »

The Sun tries to be a party pooper: « Miliband accused of abandoning Britain to stage Obama PR stunt. »

From the Huffpost – Mehdi morning news——-

I have selected this from the New York today.

First the good news is Shakespeare in Central Park : King Lear.

Then comes this final wrong note :

“What do you hold in common with your fellow citizens, the strangers with whom you share your city?”

Nearly 100 writers from around the world answered this question for an annual writing competition held by Urban Omnibus, an online publication of the Architectural League of New York that explores “the culture of citymaking.”

The winner’s answer: garbage.

If the jury has selected such a cynical and racist answer, then New York city is a vast  dustbin. Can’t beleive this culture of city-making. It should be renamed « city vacuity ».

May be, this answer has been selected, because of the Majorial absence walking and swimming in Capri. « Mayor de Blasio, who is on vacation with his family in Italy, travels to Capri ». It’s summer. Oh Happy days.

Malaysian airlines crash

Concerning the security on the european airspace and the reason why Malaysia airlines was crossing Ukrainian airspace in « total confidence », the french outlet, the New Observer has asked a former captain crew at Air France, Gérard Fedzer his comments. He said the security of the european airspace is the responsibility of the European Airspace Security Agency in charge of evaluating the risks and alerting the companies on them. Since April, companies were alerted not to cross Crimea. But until the crash of the Malaysian plane, no alert was issued for the East Ukrainian.

He added, it is important to note that, to bring down a plane at this altitude 10,000 meters, you need a sophisticated equipment and high trained personal. It is not something you can do alone like shooting down Ukrainian helicopters. Watch the video here : « there was no indication against flying over Eastern Ukrainian from the European Airspace Security Agency ». This argument is trying to exonerate Malaysia airlines.

Still, the chain of responsibilities remains to be drawn as stated here.

Global Research is adding more information on the topic.

Why hasnt Washington joined Russian President Putin in calling for an objective, non-politicized international investigation by experts of the case of the Malaysian jetliner?

The Russian government continues to release facts, including satellite photos showing the presence of Ukrainian Buk anti-aircraft missiles in locations from which the airliner could have been brought down by the missile system and documentation that a Ukrainian SU-25 fighter jet rapidly approached the Malaysian airliner prior to its downing.

The head of the Operations Directorate of Russian military headquarters said at a Moscow press conference today (July 21) that the presence of the Ukrainian military jet is confirmed by the Rostov monitoring center.

Demonstrations against Israeli deadly invasion – up to 600 palestinians killed – are to take place, despite the dictatorial interdiction of the pro-Israeli regime in place. In France, demonstrating is a citizen right since Jaurès. You just have to inform the authority of your intention to demonstrate. The tacit agreement is « non violence ». But, this government is rewritting the law by preempting some demonstrations as potentially violent.

In law, this is a process of intention. This process has generated a showdown last Saturday at Barbès, then at Sarcelles, ex Dominique Strauss Kahn capital and home for a huge Jewish community. Tomorrow may be a repetition of the clashes, should the interdiction be extended. Apparently, it is the case. To show their total support and subordination to their Big Brother, Israel, the PM, Valls and his Interior minister are united to fight the demonstrations to come tomorrow and next Saturday.

France and Europe are the places where a former minister of economy in France, Pierre Moscovici,  of jewish origin, with zero results nationally and zero influence of how business work and empowering the economy – this is the minister who set a 75% tax on the business . One year after the enforcement of this mad tax measure, the president of MEDEF, Pierre Gattaz(*), a patronal syndicate is deploring the handicap of this foolish measure holding back job creation in France and economic activities in the whole.

This is the man who has failed his mission president Hollande is presenting at the post of european commissioner for economy. It tells you the stage of European economy. Poor.

Germany is opposing the extravagant nomination of this failing former french minister for lack of merit and results.

Confronting the question, president Hollande has kept on justifying his Moscovici choice comparing the man to the former minister of economy of Spain. Poor comparison between France and Spain on the front of reforms. Spain has done what France is not even thinking of beginning to reform the nation. Even the regional reform is a headache. So what ? Back to 2012 stolen election and big maneuvers.

Pierre Moscovici is an ex Dominique Strauss Khan aide and he was organising DSK presidential campaign when the Sofitel (NY) events burst out. He then joined with Hollande and brought with him the entire Jewish connections in France comprising an  underdog press that excelled in manipulating everything in this scenario built to laugh at the Republic as an ideal and idea.

Since then, president Hollande owns a payback to Pierre Moscovici which expresses itself as a permanent obligatory support. An enchainment indeed. May be, this is one of the things behind Eva Joly, the Green candidate denouncing « puppets made out of wood » she claimed not to be. This was sybillin language to explain her reluctancy to regroup with the socialist candidate, Hollande, before the second turn.

(*) « France economic situation is catastrophic » : Pierre Gattaz.

In this interview  – For a summary of president Hollande press conference on Monday, read the Echos, the president is reversing the decision of his interior minister and PM alike over tomorrow’s demonstrations in favor of the Palestinian people. « The organisers have given all the insurances there will be no violence ». OK.

France is the nation where I/you can receive a call on your smartphone with this number 00330321176764. When you respond, nobody answers. You call back and here is what you will hear « Bonjour, Orange vous informe que ce numéro n’est pas attribué« . The number is not allowed. But, people can harass you with an unattribuated and unknown number.

The minister of interior and the phone companies are there to protect your privacy, isn’t it ? This is not the first call. It has happened before with my  home phone. You answer the call and nobody is on line. Don’t call back, the number is unknown in France. Insecurity is also a feeling and, contrary to what president Hollande is telling, Palestinians and people demonstrating here in France share the same fate and feeling of exclusion, abandon, overexposure to woes, professional and social insecurities, nakedness, slaves for big business and political cheatings – the Moscovici like – a null being granted in a so-called Republic of merit and equality before this meritocracy. Lies and fake.

They share indignation and indignity with the Palestinian people.

(CNN). Delta Air Lines suspended flights to Israel’s main international airport today because of reports about a nearby rocket attack, the company said.

Citing « reports of a rocket or associated debris » near Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv, Delta said it suspended service between its hub in New York and Tel Aviv « to ensure the safety and security of our customers and employees. »

One immediate effect: Flight 469, which left New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport with 273 passengers, was diverted today to Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport instead of heading to Tel Aviv as scheduled, the airline said.

« Delta continues to work closely with U.S. and other government resources to monitor the situation, » Delta said.
