The campaign trail derailment, on the democratic side.

Attacking a candidate beneath the belt is a desperate move. Sign of panic, hate, weakness and despair. The campaign is getting nasty. Age and Health are off-debate. For a single reason : these are degree zero of the argumentation.

Bernie Sanders for President

Sisters and Brothers –

With just two weeks to go before the Iowa caucuses, the super PAC coordinating with Hillary Clinton’s campaign is reportedly launching one of the most desperate and vile attacks imaginable: they are insinuating Bernie is too old and unhealthy to be our next president.

Let me be very clear with you: Bernie is in excellent health. But this personal attack is another example of a sickness in our democracy when it is so easy for millionaires and billionaires to buy up candidates and elections.

We are just three points behind in Iowa, but closing every day. We can’t let super PAC attacks on Bernie’s health and health care plan scare people away from voting for Bernie.

In spite of these Karl Rove-style attacks, Bernie’s going to stay focused on the real issues impacting working families across the country. While he does that, we can make the millionaires and billionaires coordinating with the Clinton campaign pay a price for their attacks.

We’ve said from the beginning: people should not underestimate us. If we continue to stand together, we will win.

Bernie Sanders for President

Sisters and Brothers –

When we launched our campaign and called for a political revolution in this country, the corporate media laughed us off. They said our “radical” ideas would never attract much support.

Months later, we have the largest grassroots base of support of any campaign, and are now on the verge of overtaking the “inevitable” frontrunner in Iowa.

I think the reason our campaign is doing so well is because Bernie is telling the truth. He’s telling the truth about the best way to provide health care for the 29 million of our neighbors who are still without, and about a rigged economy held in place by corrupt politics where Wall Street banks and billionaires buy elections.

In just a few hours, Bernie will take the stage for the final debate before the Iowa caucuses, where we trail by just three points. This is a big night for our campaign, and Bernie is ready.

With just two weeks to go, we’re neck and neck in Iowa, and that’s only possible because people like you are coming together across this country to say you have had enough of the billionaire class buying our candidates and elections.

We’ve said from the beginning: people should not underestimate us. If we continue to stand together, we will win.
